Roads and the state of them

Yea the roads are in a bad way at the moment. But as its the councils job to sort them out if you damage your motor on the road by hitting a pot hole etc you can claim off them for damage as it iirc comes under some law that the road must be safe to travel on

Boddle:
Yes, Here in Coventry there are roads with 40mph speed limit with patches so bad you be lucky to travel at 30 is this a way trying to get people kill there speed. This has nothing to do with the weather as it was like it before the weather got to it.

The roads are bad and i also do blaim the weather we have been having. A tarmac road, patch job is not sealed and the water gets under it, then we have a freeze and what does water do when it freezes??? expands.

Only once they've been reported. If you find a pothole or other hazard then report it to the council highways department ASAP.

They usually act on it fairly quickly because they know that if there's an accident they're now at risk of being responsible for it - especially where motorbikes are concerned.
