landrovers at santa pod
« on: December 31, 2008, 20:47:25 »
hi all.

a few of us have been holding talks with the powers that be about a new event at santa pod which would be
possibly a two day event allowing use of the drag strip, on site purpose built off road course (non-extreme), use and directions to all the local greenlanes(of which there are many) and hopefully lots of other attractions including demos, kids area etc

any other suggestions would be happily received........

so come on people how many of you would actually be up for such an event????????????

I'd be interested in taking the LSE down the strip once or twice, then off roading Blue :?

Truth is I won't have time htis year at all, I wanted to go laning over the holidays and go out on the beer with my coursemates.  All I've done is a bit of housework and a lot of coursework, in which I've hardly made a dent.

It should be easier as there's less rubber in contact with the ground

Well folks things seem to be progressing ok with the possibility of this event actually happening!

Would be great to see as many of you as possible. We are trying to make it appeal to as many people as possible
by trying to cover what most 4x4ers might be interested in i.e. use of the drag strip (rarity for landy owners i know), off road course and driving the local green lanes, as well as family attractions on site.

If any of you have any ideas about what you would like to see at such an event let us know..............pm either minty, bigwill or tictac.

Sounds like a good day out with a difference :D. I'll be making the effort to come with my family. Not too many 'family attractions' though as I get nothing but winging from the kids and it makes it very expensive at £3 each a go for 2 minutes fun.
