Les Henson:
The downpipe is the awkward bit. You can buy the Steve Parker conversion, fabricate your own, or cut a chunk out of the footwell. In the conversion I did in the link above, I didn't want to hack the bulkhead about and wanted to just connect the downpipe to the rest of the TD system (it is a narrower bore though). If you opt to make your own downpipe, then you have to make gas flow as unrestricted as possible, so smooth curves and as shallow as you can make them are very important.
Back pressure from a sharp bend or corner won't have a noticeable effect at lower revs, but the engine will rev out higher up and speed will be reduced.

soz about jumping in but iam going to be doing mine at some point but have a n/a engine is there any diff from a td or n/a ie can i still use my n/a gearbox and so on

exact same as doin it with n/a or td but u may need a different transfer box dependin on the ratio
