If a vehicle is being used off-road (on other than a vehicular right of way) - then usually it isn't insured at that time (this would apply to pay and play sites etc). But once it gets back on the road, all should be fine and dandy and you're insured again.
Are the NFU really saying that if you venture off-road it invalidates your insurance permanently? Shocking if that is the case!

On a similar note thats what they told us, I asked a specfic question "was I covered for travelling to and from a MSA event and took part in a RTV trail" explaining what a RTV trial was. Was told if I ever took part in such a trail as a competior and later on the way home had an accident, i won't be covered (except RTA cover) because I had taken part and might have damaged the vechicle. Upon questioning them further on this point tried to get an answer when would I be able to have full cover again, told each case would be considered on its merits - typicial insurance industry get out.
Must point out here still covered under RTA so not committing any criminal offence.
So to answer your question seems it might

So assume that was 3 years ago, things change as have a few kids. One company quite happy for 1 year, then the next withdraw cover for those under 21 on renewal.
Things change
littlepow:
The only stipulation NFU put on my insurance, was that the winch was for self recovery only and motorsport events would not be covered. Part from that, they don't seem to mind about the mods.
Bush Tucker Man:
I'm with the NFU too (via 'Coy & Nobles' at Honley, Huddersfield)
I've not been given/told of any exclusions/conditions about my cover since my time with them
But....
I did receive an interesting letter with my renewal though; pointing out that some policies don't cover the driving of other vehicles (not owned by the insurer) under the 'Third Party Cover Only' clause
Now I'm not sure whether this is a NFU issue only, or a cross company issue??, might be worth checking your own policies - if you do drive other peoples vehicles under this clause
(as I do sometimes, with the mother-in-laws)
