RRC 3.9 efi on LPG
carracarra13:
since new tank put in you are right now every thing working well no power loss at all

They all seem to be a little different, mines a 3.9 EFI & I don't think its cheap to run anymore with the price of LPG. I get on average 150-160 miles out of a 90 litre tank. Its also under powered but still sounds nice. If I had a choice of diesel or V8 LPG it would be V8 LPG just because I don't really like driving diesels much.
Quite simply I don't think there is a cheap answer to driving 4x4s but we still drive them.................. :-k
I drove from Coventry to Evesham (35 miles) the other day & it cost me £10.78 at 59.9 per litre, I can do that in my 4.4 V8 petrol BMW for around that sort of cash, there & back for £20.
Basically when LPG was 32p per litre it was cheaper to run but now its around the same as my car.
Range Rover Blues:
Very true, LPG has seen an effective 50%Vrise compared to 35% at a guess for petrol. It's as much about us being ale to keepo the cars we like than a sensible buying statergy for a new(er) car.
but if you like V8 then go LPG, it's kinder to the engine, cleaner, makes the oil last longer and doesn't poisen you at the pump like petrol does (no benzine).
carracarra13:
have to admit had a better company give the old gas system the once over (glad I listened to vb8money pit he"ll no what Im refering to) stuck the laptop on it and running so smooth now and put in 80ltr and got 189.6 miles and still got us to the petrol station
discowoman:
Well I decided in the end to get something different, so ended up with a 2.5 Pajero SWB. :D
crap fuel economy - but a lovely ride, and lots of toys to play with
