Or even an auto with air conditioning? Where does that leave for the second standard cooler to go?

I know you can get an uprated intercooler with aircon, as Jeremy Fearn quotes for them on his site. What I don't know is whether the extra cost is for a more complex design or the extra man-hours needed to remove the aircon gubbins and refit it after swapping the intercoolers.

A few suppliers do uprated intercoolers for when you have auto and air con....they replace the standard intercooler without any need to touch the air con condenser or the auto oil cooler. The trouble is they cost getting on for £300, what I was wondering is has anyone fitted a second standard intercooler

The Allard intercooler I have for sale (proivisonally sold) ia designed to be used in a auto 300 with air con. It fits between the chassis rails under the radiator behind the front bumper / valance after the orginal intercooler, so you can buy them aftermarket.
Disco Matt:
I'm not convinced by intercoolers between the chassis rails - they just seem like trouble waiting to happen.
I have seen another Disco with aircon and bigger intercooler, he'd fitted a Gulf-spec grille and the new intercooler was in front of everything else. Part of the reason I bought the Gulf grille for mine!
