Vitara Snorkel
Wilky:
Looking to fit a snorkel to our Vit, I intend to use 2" flexi pipe, free from work you see, but would like a bit of info on best way to go about it.
Do I knock out the air filter box and fit a new filter to the top of the snorkel, if so what's a good filter, or do I connect to the air filter inlet on the inner wing and keep the existing filter, if so, do I need to seal the existing filter to make it water tight.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
wormster:
Knock the airbox off,
cut a hole in the wing, tread hose through and jubilee clip directly onto the air intake.
bung a K&N filter on the top.
Wilky:
That's kinda what I was looking at, just wondered if there was any alternatives, but if that's tried and tested, then it's a simple task, jobs a good un, cheers.
Just an afterthought, what about the electrical box job on the intake, is it Ok to bin that, is just a temperature control thing?
