As Chris said, see that alot with dscos, normally when hi/lo hasn`t been used for a while, just make sure you locate the selctor peg correctly,

Hi All,

Thanks for all the replys.
I finally managed to get it apart this weekend after buying replacement grub screws and gaskets last week from DLR.

After a lot of scraping arms and fingers I got the cross shaft cover of and as you all said the grub screw was just hanging in by a thread or two.

So lined it up, put in a new screw and threadlocked it in then after more scraping skin got it fixed back in place.
There sure isn't much room under there but it is easier than trying to reach it from below or dropping the gear/transfer box down.

Once the linkage was connected back up I was worried as the hi/lo lever does not move far forwards & backwards at all.
My range rovers seemed to have more "throw" on them compared to this. But have tried it out and it appears to be fine.

So with that in mind I have booked a ticket for abingdon and will hope fully get round the course.

Thanks again all for the advice it was spot on as usual

Cheers,

John

Well if you don't come over to the Landy Rally stand and we will come get you out, some of the marshalls are TV4x4 boys and girls, so someone will get you round ;-)
