I would consider insa turbos at 265/75 as they reportedly are approx 33"

Wouldn't the 235/85/16 be a little higher then than the 265/75/16? That would give me a little more diff clearance wouldn't it?

thats what I said

I was just wondering why you said you would consider the 265/75/16 :?
davidlandy:
oh right
well on the insa turbo its said to be 33" tall plus being a 265 it would be 30mm wider. So overall it would look like a more meaty tyre and look better.

Well I'm almost sold on those at the moment, what I really need to do is to go & measure up the two different sizes & see what I think.
I've always leaned more towards the 235 skinnier tread as I thought it would cut through the mud better on the heavy Range Rover, but how much difference it makes I really don't know. Also like you said the 265 will look better & we do try & make our vehicles look better if poss don't we?
There is a 4x4 shop by me so I think I'll pop down with tape measure & have a look in the flesh.
davidlandy:
i have run both 235s and 265s in the past and the digging through the mud thing I couldnt find any evidence of. Maybe with more extreme width differentials this theory would become more apparent.
anyway get yourself down to the shops and bring back some tyres!!
