What return can i expect?

<< < (2/3) > >>

discowoman:
Our 2 RR's averaged 10mpg..the V8 3.5 disco we had averaged 16mpg..all standard, mates 110 fitted with a 4.6 on twin carbs does 8mpg...previously he had quad carbs on it and got 2mpg

clbarclay:
I was averaging about 17 MPG on the road with a tierd 3.5 EFI auto, I've yet to find out what it can do with a fresher 3.5

Some people recon to get over 20 mpg out of a RR V8, but the norm seems to be somewhere in the teens if driven sensibly without hanging about.

Frankie-Boy:

Question:- "What return can I expect?"  :-k

Answer:- Expect a return to poverty I'd say, judging by the figures above.  ;)

mike142sl:
My old '91 classic returned about 15mpg BUT also gave me the BIGEST GRIN  :D from the V8. I miss that bit.

squaddie_fox:
its definitely worth it i reckon. im looking at converting my vm into a v8! so much more fun and with a proper manual gearbox to go with it!

my old 3.5 auto RaRo could average about 15 mpg and 20-25 on a good run. and im a twenty year old that likes to embarrass the boy racers off the line!
