Chequer Plating

I like the large wooden ariel mounted in the centre of the roofrack in the bottom picture!!

I think chequerplate does have to be black to look good on a Disco - I might well do the lower bodyside on mine when it gets tattier as it will look a lot better than bubbling or missing paint. A quick rub down and coat of primer first to stop further corrosion, then fix the plating on.

And there was me thinking it was the centre pole for the new roof wigwam :roll:

Haha, I was thinking of using it as a mast for a few extra mpg's. but the wigwam idea sounds better  :afro:

I was allmost put off having the stuff by the ads for the kits :roll:



can you tell the difference ???  I can yours all line up.....

I was an upholsterer for 18 years and if somthing dosen't line up it looks wrong and I'm happy to say that yours looks sooooo much better than the one in the ad. (just to point out that the ad photo is being used to sell kits on the interweb and I wont be buying one) it just looks wrong all three of the pieces are from different strips [-X [-X
