Chequer Plating

Hello everyone, just a quick question,

who has chequer plated their trucks, mainly the bonnet as I'll be doing it tonight.

What I will be doing is plating the lower sides of the car, the bonnet and the rear door car.

I will also be 'sinking' a spare wheel into the bonnet of the car through the chequer plate. I have a spare bonnet in the same colour and I have already cut the hole out, I just need to make a holder for the wheel now, along with some gas supports to help open and close the bonnet.

Did people have any problems with the curvature of the bonnet?

from all the ads I've seen there is always a bulge in front of the windscreen that you can only see from inside the car....

I've sussed it, make your own and on the under side run the grinder vertically creating channels, not deep but enough to remove the bend, then pop rivet from the centre top and bottom out to each side, hey presto done  :afro:
