I agree with rob, we had a wise guy who had some kids throwing eggs at his house, a pain yes, but all officers were dealing with some serious disorder in the town center.

So he thought it would be clever to say he had a gun and would sort it him self to get a responce, to be fair he got a great responce from an Armed responce vehicle and spent the night in the cell and was charged under fire arms act! Section 17 I think. He was taken out of his home at gun point, arrested, his wife in tears and his shot guns removed. This was a man who had never been introuble with the police.

Not a good idea don't do it. Best case you'll get nicked worst case you'll get slotted!

No :shocked:, as soon as police hear there may be a gun involved they take it very seriously indeed. They just cant take the risk that its a joke.  Especially if they know there are legal firearms on the premises.  Its the illegal firearms that are the problem 99% of the time.

Did you know there are 1.7 million leagal firearms in britain??

my friend thought it would be funny to phone the police and say hes just been mugged by a white man  with a skinhead and a gun driving a white escort cabriolet, as i was on my way to meet him i realised there was a police car behind me and then another and another o and a few more, i thought strange, so taking my time driving i pulled away from the traffic lights and went round the corner, there was a police man in the middle of the road, road closed, they surrounded me  guns out, i nearly pooped myself, hands in the air i got dragged out of the car they ripped my car to bits, then i saw the naughty boy at the end of the street laughing,  i was there for a while as they searched my car, then they realised it was a hoax call, ive never had him back on that 1.

but what a thing to think of. hats off to him lol

no they dont take it serious when there is a gun involved, only once they were bothered where a gun was involved here, and thts because some scumbag told them that the cops had, that id tried to shoot them.
wished i did now.
