The time has come
waveydavey:
I've gone for the alternative approach;
I've left the country. It's just nice to have a job that makes it possible.
Wireless:
The local council fuels my LPG V8, well, indirectly anyway.
SWMBO works for them and gets paid over 44p per mile plus travelling time to transport children in her 1985 Fiat Panda on Business Insurance Fully Comp (£170+), the car does 55+ mpg average, and is unusually rust free at just 21,000 genuine miles.
Just don't tell the missus!
Bunnie:
yes petrol prices are rising but the oil prices are too... we have gone from buying our cooking oil in @ 11.50 for the 20ltr box to now nearly 15. with most of that hike in the last 6 months.
Oil companies are starting to realise that people are using there products for fuel and not just cooking. yes it still saves you a small amount but its becoming very daft. ESp when they say peoples borrowinging are at an all time high... not suprising when you gotta get a loan out just to get to work for the month so you can attempt to pay it back @ some point!
mike142sl:
Use a motorbike to get to work, might drop down to a 125 moped soon - £15 tax and 75mpg
Thrasher:
Just SORN'ed Piglet :(
Same reasons really - can't afford to tax, mot and repair him the same month as Bagheera needs taxing and Elvira needs taxing and servicing :(
