Vauxhall/Opel were one and the same

The opel Kadett was supposidly the cheap version! IIRC?

My mum had a chevette, then in later years I had a kadett UCF 155S

V8MoneyPit:
We drove to Spain (or rather were driven) in my mates dads Chevette when we were 16. That was a fun journey... not. After raging seas across the Bay of Biscay (36 hour crossing!) he took an unfinished road through the mountains. No barriers, no tarmac, big boulders everywhere...... we left half the exhaust somewhere in northern Spain! Now I know who to blame for sewing the offroading seed  Just not in a Chevette thank you!

There's a saying in the motor industry, "what's the differecne between Opel and Vauxhall?"

"On an Opel the engine goes faster, on a Vauxhall the body goes faster"

There's little difference between them nowadays but long long ago Opel produced nicer cars like the SI Manta.
