Are rear seat belts needed?

This could be the point the MOT guy is getting hung up on, if it is suppose to be there and not present at test.

:undecided: MOT examiners only test what they are presented with so the V5 and contents should make no difference.

Yes this is starting to be an issue with some MOTs as it's all computerised. The rule is typically if it's not fitted it can't be tested but then if the details on the system don't match what's presented for test they can/should refuse to test it.
