As previously stated tyres really do need to match the original specification.  However! If you notify your insurers and they accept it you should be OK as far as they are concerned in the event of a claim.  You also need to notify them of ALL modifications; anything that has been added or removed!!!  I know there will be those that will disagree with this but I for one am not prepared to take the chance.  I notified all changes, including spot light, and my insurers had no problem with it and provided an agreed value.  It's a bit of a pain writting down all the modification but not such a pain as it would be if your insurers declined to pay (even for theft) a claim because of nondisclosure.  We pay our money and we take our choice!  Anyway, nice to see another comfortable off-roader.
