stuntman:
Thanks Dan

hairyasswelder:
Tonks 4x4 is local-ish and has Bearmach blue springs @ £55 a pair.  Paddocks do Goodrich hoses @ +4" for £50 for the set of 5

Dont know what he got in stock in the way of shocks but the lads there are very helpfull, they also know what they are playing with

On my Rangy the brake lines are on a bracket on the inner wing so a body lift will stretch the origional, thought the early Disco was the same ?  :?

--- Quote from: "stuntman" ---Hello Jake, that's more than I was after paying, I know you get what you pay for.

I've always been one for buying the best I can afford. However this vehicle is not going to be lavished with cash, I have between 200-300 to spend.

Hello Dan, I was planning +5 was everyone seems to think the standard ones are too short, and as I was planning +2 on the suspension and 40mm on the body, I'd get a little lee way.

Why do it all at once?

Its quite easy to take a modular approch to suspension. Say just get the springs now and save up a bit more for the dampers, relocation cones and brakelines later when finance allows.

As for brake lines in particular, I have +4" lines which have more than enough movement in them for 2" body lift and 11" travel (+5") dampers its just a case of making better use of the avalible movement by extending the stiff lines downwards (which is very easy on the rear of a RRC and probably disco as well).

I fitted bearmach springs and procomp es9000 shocks £234
They have worked well for 3 1/2 years but I can't see the shocks lasting much longer (rust)

I put the custom made longer lines on last year (llama 4x4 £55) and jubilee clips on the top of the rear springs to stop them unseating (poped both out first time laning)

I will be buying the 3" kit next time same stuff as it works well and I'm on a budget too

Its what im going for with a 2" lift, spend that bit extra in the first place and then you wont regret it later on  :)

Gav.
