Can I just say GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

5 out of 10 body mounts have severe rust and shouldn't really have passed the MOT, Oh and I have just discovered a rather large hole near and outrigger!

I've scrapped cars for having less rust than this!

Oh well, looks like I'll just have to keep welding her up!

(I just wanted to rant)

Oh and I've replaced 8 out of 10 body mounts as they were all !Expletive Deleted!.

The rear crossmember collapsed spectacularly so that was also replaced with box section steel.

The sil were previously replaced with 60x120 box section so the new mounts fabbed out of the offcuts of these and welded to the sills. very strong surprisingly.

I had to cut the outriggers from the chassis to get at the siezed bolts, then weld them back on.

All great fun considering I wasn't really a welder until I bought my disco in september! (god bless evening courses and a bloody good MIG welder  )

So I'll post pictures when I can

A little finishing off tomorrow and I should be ready to fit my +2 lift kit at the end of January.

.

Update, today I lowered the radiator mounts, alot easier than buying the spacers or raising the rad, 2 quick runs of weld and I'd attached a new lug to each bracker, a hole drilled into each and hey presto!
