The legislation is very flexible, and one thing that it can offer is to define the diection that traffic can use the road.
Yes turn it into a one way street as is common on tarmac roads.
If all the clubs and the national park agree that it should only be used in one direction it shouldn't be a problem getting a suitable TRO in place.

:D Wolfie that is an excellent suggestion, I will pass that on to Geoff Wilson who sits on the Access Commitee, trouble is with the prat from Kankku's last escapade with the Windermere speed limit on boats, he will ignore it and then they will have all the reasons for a full TRO ! But a TRO will allow the police to prosecute him which may well bring all sorts of other things to light, how does he operate a LR Taxi for one !!!!! £200.00 for a ride round in one of his vehicles I understand !

Interestingly like others have said at least Kankku are not into having huge groups like some, it just annoys me that we keep to the request and he doesn't. The route has a history of being changed about so we will have to see what happens when Cumbria CC get more involved next year !
