Commercial users of Green Lanes Kankku in particular !

Just come back from a stupendous day green laning in the Lakes with a great bunch.

But the day was spoilt by me losing my rag with a guy in an 07 plate 90 well kitted up who was trying to drive the Grizedale Esthwaite track from East to West evidently as advised and as escorted previously by the pillock from Kankku. I apologise unreservedly to the guy as he was just not aware until we challenged him. Having spent a day with members from this forum repairing this lane in the Spring when Kankku appeared with paying guests driving this the wrong way as advised by the LDNP it is obvious we are soon going to have another lane TROd as he obviously thinks he as a Commercial user can ignore the requests of the LDNP, GLASS, LARA, TRF etc etc. All that will happen is his continued actions are going to be reported by the Bobblies. With a new green credentialled Chief Exec at the LDNP helm ex English Nature he will as he is allowed under NERC to TRO this lane. When it happens Mr Kankku I think at least an apology will be needed.

This man is a menace to us being able to use the few lanes left, but what can we do ?

Best bit of the day was leading a group with a D3 Disco and seeing how awsome these things are if you are prepared to use it absolutely stunning, no mods but fantastic ability.

I know how you feel mate, I've often seen a certain "commercial user" taking groups of 10-14 vehicles around areas with "high-bobble hat density" ....... like the Derbyshire Peaks on a Sunday !!   :twisted:  :twisted:

Two things will mean we'll loose the lanes - big groups and muppets playing off track in the mud - it seems neither can be stopped? :(

Yeah, the fella from Kanku is a prat, he doesnt listen when he is told that something he is doing is wrong either.

Should report him to LDNPA and get them to contact him to tell him to stop.

Problem is the prat knows and LDNP have asked him to abide by the request but he thinks he is above all. He also publicly boasts of being the first to break the speed limit on Windermere because he didn't like that either.

My fear is that we are going to lose this lane very soon due to him, the Trails advisor Dave Robinson has a new post and so all our good work and contact with him has gone. The new chief Exec is already spouting on about enhancing the Green Image of the LDNP so with his new powers available to TRO and close any route we are on borrowed time and the more the Bobblies complain with photograhic evidence of people not abiding by the Heirarchy of Trails advice we are on a total loser. We did notice a set of tracks at the Esthwaite end of this track going off route to avaiod some rocks, we suspect the guy in the 90 or another caught by the other party of vehicles in a daihatsu again going the wrong way.

Unfortunately my advice is if you want to drive the lanes in the Lakes don't leave it too long because we are going to lose them. :cry:  :cry:
