Zeus timing gears??

Hi all,

Anybody got or know of a 200 or 300tdi with the zeus timing gears fitted?
Im looking at fitting new timing belt as I dont know when mine was last done and saw these timing gears from Zeus and was wondering what people thought of them?
I was thinking that the benefits are they wont snap like a belt and once fitted you dont need to change them again.

Many thanks

Steve

One of the mags had an article describing fitting a year or two ago.  I think it was LRO.  They said it made the engine a little noisier, but the main drawback I could see was the cost - you could buy a whole replacement tdi engine for not much more than the cost of the gears.

ask will warne on L4x4.com or D44 forum

preferably from a distance

Way to burst my bubble :(

If it costs that much then that idea can go in the draw labled "Nice idea, shame about the price" also known as the bin.
Ill see what Zues comes back with but I think ill start looking round for a decent timing belt kit. I keep seeing lots of extremely cheep kits around but as the saying goes you get what you pay for!

Thanks

Steve
