I lovvve my Scotch Whiskey,
Start with the cheap single malts and take it from there, dont give up because one is not to your taste, there will be another next to it you will Saviour.

My Dad acquired a 2 liter bottle of whiskey about ten years ago and so did his friend.
His friend moved to NZ and took the bottle with him, he emailed my Dad a couple of years ago saying he had sold his bottle for £3000

My Dad was gutted, he drank his with Adas cola

Ive only ever bought him Grants since   the philistine      cola come on , neat or nothing

My personal favourite is Dalwhinnie. I have gone through a few bottles of that stuff.

Glenlivet is also a particularly enjoyable drink. However, I ended up in the local casualty because of that one, and it has taken me the last 18 months to be able to stomach the smell and taste of whisky once again. I opened a bottle of Glenlivet, and rather unintentionally, 2 hours later it was empty. I was found several hours later unconscious on the bathroom floor, not in a pretty state, nor was the floor for that matter. Ah well, you live and learn! So currently my tipple of choice is Jamaican rum ;)

Sounds like divine justice to me!  Some distant relatives of mine are sent a Fortnum & Masons hamper every year with a decent bottle of red wine.  They drink the wine with lemonade because they don't care for it much  :x
