Volvo verses Ford

<< < (4/5) > >>

Bush Tucker Man:
Saw one of the 'Fast Response' (Paramedic) V50's this morning.
Now I know who drives it I'll ask a few questions when I see her

L90OOK:
I quite like the new mondeo & would go for one over a volvo.
However I do like  the Passats more than both the mondeo or V50  8)

--- Quote from: "muddydisco" ---Go for a v70 loads of  room great on fuel. Dads got a v70 done 90k never had a problem. If you go for the ford it will never be out of the garage having alot of problems with the new model.

We have a V70 SE Turbo. What a fantastic motor.

When I was searching for it in summer 06 - it was clear to see that they can do massive mileages. Ours is a low miler 90K, most were 180K-220K.

Volvo everytime!!!

I also saw an unmarked (silver) Traffic Police V5 this afternoon

That was a T5 varient

--- Quote from: "V8MoneyPit" ---The other consideration is depreciation. I would hazard a guess that the Volvo will have better residuals than the Ford.

Surely residuals don't really matter on a company car, except maybe if they sell it off at the end of the lease term, then poor residuals work in your favour if they offer it for sale !

Tax implications are the only "cost" that most people will take into account.

The new Mondy got very favourable reviews on Top Gear. The estate version would definately be my choice.

It all depends which versions of each car are on her list... What else is on it ?
