Guys anyone got any ideas for how to fix the pipe at the air box on a 300 tdi with ABS?

I've got a defender snorkel kit which I'm going to butcher/adapt to fit my disco, using some flexi air hose etc, I'm fine down the wing and all that, but I'm struggling with the air box as I dont want to move it so I can still fit a second battery in front of it in a few weeks once I have my second alternator fitted, so any ideas or preferably pictures of how you've done it to yours?

I like the idea of heating and re-setting drain pipe mentioned earlier and I may use that idea to 'flatten' a length so it fits between the ABS modulator and the air box, but thats gonna be a bit of a restrictor so a different idea would be best..........

Cheers guys........

Top topic Stuntman, and well done on your snorkel

would it work if i relocated my airbox/filter to the roof bars? my way of thinking is it reduces the amount of joins under the bonnet = less chance of water getting in :-k

Well, mines done - its not so much DIY though as I managed to a steel pipe and top from a Mantec kit second hand and used that - the rest is all me though - a bit of hole sawing and jig-sawing on the air box and its all fitted nicely and  stalls on demand so all good - which looking at the weather, is just as well eh?!

Pics to follow to show how I got from the pipe to the air-box just as soon as I can find a PC that will talk to my phone.....
