Saw one today - across two spaces in the local supermarket (the white line was pretty much lined up with the centreline of the car).

Is it just me or does anyone else find the ability to park properly decreases proportionally to the size of the vehicle? I've seen 22ft motorhomes parked perfectly (ok, taking up two spaces but no more, and they didn't really have much option) and little Corsas slewed across a space so as to make the ones on both sides unusable!

I normally upset these sorts of people by parking properly in the space right next to the Drivers door and they usually moan at me for not being able to get in to their vehicle because my parking was rubbish in which i say i am between the lines and they are over the lines on both sides of their vehicle

I wish I'd seen him trying to reverse out as the car on the other side was quite close to him as well which is probably why he was parked on the white line.

(click for bigger pics!)

Upon first spotting this thread, i went out to get some firewood.... and this is what i saw!:

a recent trip to B&Q revealed this! not one, but two colostraphobic vehicles..

And now the local law, flaunting it... (not well shown on the pic, but clogging a junction, a walkway, and the parking opposite!)

and the icing on the cake, outside our house, infront of the drive, and the sign which clearly says "no parking - access required 24/7" we have the riot van!

i wish i had videoed the female driver attempting to park next to me the other day.. must have taken 5mins, with her red husband attempting to guide her in..... think she was scared of the muddy landrover, and didnt want to get too close.....

..either that or santa had only given her a reverse gear for xmas, and she wasnt sure how to use it yet!

ended up she went forward straight into a bay further down! so funny, had to give a round of applause!

I wish I'd videos one a couple of years agao, I was in a pub carpark queue waiting for spaces, I'd seen a gap alongside a substation but the guy ahead of me spotted it too, so I waited as his wife got out and guided him backwards.  Into the front of Blue

He never appologised or checked my car for damage, just ignored me and carried on.  I think he got a bit fed up thogh when all Julies mates started laughing at him when he came into the pub

it was driven away by one of the very highly qualified "staff" of said well known store. We sat and waited becaused we were so fascinated as to who could park so badly. Even the 6 yr old turned and said " that;s not parked... that just stopped!"

I was on holiday in France a few years back. I watched a big French bloke in a pug 205 park under a fence. As he got out, his car went up, putting a nice dent in the bonnet. I couldn't stop laughing

Found this chap parked next to us this morning at Tesco............. wondered if he was going to dip our tank but he wasn't actually in the van. He did walk back smiling as I took the pics though  I suppose for the size of the vehicle the parking isn't too bad

I wanted to post on this thread from the start but only just found the picture.

We were on a treasure hunt in bala area last year. we had finished for the day and we were all gathered around in the main carpark at bala for the answers/presentation etc when this guy drove in and simply didnt stop at the edge of the carpark!!!!!
His responce to the inevitable "are you alright ?" was "yeah ... it's only a loan car the garage gave me whilst they fix mine after I drove into something". He then ambled off into the town center without a backward glance.

No way that was getting towed off that wall without destroying the car. It must have taken a 4 wheel lift rig to pick it up.

In their defnse I think a lot of those russion cars were parked on top of compacted snow and only became stranded when it melted.  How else do you get a Kia on top of a Merc :-k

Mind, I love that green van, anti-theft parking or what
