300tdi lights onto a 200tdi?

<< < (3/4) > >>

Guardian.:
can be done not hard but a time consuming nightmare.
you will have to buy all the adjusters etc, drill the holes to mount the lights and either cut away or hammer out the way a bit of the front panel to get them to go in the right place.
to be honest done it twice, will never do it again, to much mucking about.

CRADDOCKS HAVE JUST STARTED BREAKING A 300TDI, GIVE DAVE A RING IN THE SALVAGE DEPT.

sleeplessparadise:
We have the 300 headlights, indicators, headlight finishers, the brackets for the finishers and a grill cos we upgraded the front of our 300 to an early  td5 All you will need to do is cut holes for the headlight adjusters   All for sale if you want to make us an offer

Guyh2:
Did the front of my 200 in less than an hour cutting & drilling the originals - but I would get a cone hole cutter as it makes it sooo much easier.

If you need them I could take some pictures as I'm breaking the 200 and the front's all gone.

Get a template from a 300 then mark where the 3 adjuster holes go & the big hole for the headlamp bowl.
Drill the adjuster holes with the cone cutter, file or drill the three lugs on each hole.
Use a small angle grinder to make a cut, every 1 or 2cm round the old healdamp bowl hole to just past the new bowl hole line, press the 'fingers' back
check fit and adjust as necessary.

indicators are fine, the springs can be hooked into the existing holes

headlamp finishers may need a little self tapper into the bumper endcap to hold it all in place

grill is a straight swap

i changed my old k-reg to a 300 looks better but i did replace the panels as my old ones had rot
but i think cost wise was a break even because you just sell your old lights
