Difflock

<< < (3/4) > >>

Strong Stuff:
Same as the others, LOADS of penetrating oil spray on the linkages from underneath, then patient wiggling until it starts to move slightly, then you're nearly there, it'll soon come free, I whacked the lever on mine with a hide hammer, but wouldn't suggest using brute force and ignorance on anyone elses car!

Now have a D2 TD5, and I've been robbed! It hasn't got Difflock! Not impressed, never even thought to check ............

Duckhunter:
Strong Stuff,

If it's an early TD5 you may be able to add a difflock, I believe that you have to check the casing to see if it has the bits ready for connecting!!

Strong Stuff:
Thanks for that! My D2 has got some very lovely 19" rims with 255 tyres on, so I won't be needing difflock for a while .............

It will be staying on tarmac for now!

Cheers for the advice guys. Got the difflock working had to take the lever housing off.The spindle had seized into the ally casing a quick rub with some emry and plenty of grease sorted it.  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

JPJ:
Is it possible that I have got a faulty switch? The difflock light keeps flashing on and off. When I hold the lever back tight against the gate the light goes out and stays out but normally it tends to flash intermintently.
