yes it does work and we used it in podiatry/chiropody especially for red haired/freckly kids.
There is an enzyme in the skin which lyzes the skin cells and releases the virus into the blood stream and allows the body to fight off hte virus. They may get a few more before the main one goes but it is better than the gunk you buy from pharmacy.
