Ideas on transporting a discovery?

Cant you upgrade your policy for homestart £20 extra, this gets you to where you need to be, or take the RAC option, but you need to be a mile away from home for them to take you to where you want, im sure.

See if you can find a local MC'er who would be willing to tow a borrowed/rented trailer for you.

Towing it that far on a rope or rigid bar is a bit dodgy.

Failing that keep your eyes open for someone with a 7.5tonner recovery truck or beavertail...see if they can be persuaded with a bit of cash.

I'm lucky (well, not any more) as a mate of mine has a recovery truck in his collection of vehicles but he's just emigrated to europe  :(

Right had a quote from someone on ebay of £80 which I think is pretty good.  Also had a quote for £170 and lastly from the company we use at work to move the McLarens around wanted £270 as it was a large vehicle,  politely declined that one!!

Cheers for the advice would never have thought of a transport company being on ebay!
