S188:

--- Quote from: "climbingchris" ---The special tool makes it easier, but it isn't essential.

When you're refitting it be sure you remember to bend the tab on the locking washer to lock the nut properly, otherwise the nut unwinds and jams against the nose on the rear transferbox cover, meaning the transmission gets very wound up preventing the engaging or disengaging of gears.
Don't ask how I found out.

And there was me thinking you were goinging to go into a story about when you had to winch your landy across a flat carpark, getting some rather strange looks.

Hi again,

Being a bit of a tart, does anyone know part No. / where I can get the proper factory fitted / original cover plate to go over the small 2" dia hole?

I was lucky with my previous SIII it came with factory fitted overdrive

You want a draught-proofed Series?
