Fairy overdrive - fitting instructions

Cheers :)
Bowie:
Piece of cake to fit, took me less than an hour to do mine on the lightweight, and that was WITH cutting the hole in the transmission tunnel :)
Bob Ajob:
Funnily enough, just seen this tonight somewhere else:

Exactly as Chris said.
Just one other thing.
Hang on to the gear that you remove from the end of the main shaft. Handy to have if you change motors, and need the overdrive for another one.
Pete.
Lucy1978:
The special tool makes it easier, but it isn't essential.
When you're refitting it be sure you remember to bend the tab on the locking washer to lock the nut properly, otherwise the nut unwinds and jams against the nose on the rear transferbox cover, meaning the transmission gets very wound up preventing the engaging or disengaging of gears.
Don't ask how I found out.
