I know the disco in question as i went passed it last week in my truck and will be going passed it again this week. (didnt think the marsh barton ind est was a private road) so my just take a cab pic of it as i am waiting at the lights. :wink:

Yes, that is true. You are not allowed to have a winch that can be operated whilst the vehicle is in motion on public roads. Disconnecting the wander lead is not enough, the winch has to be isolated from its power source.
One of these should do the trick
