Don't take pics....you get told off!!!!!!

Went to Exeter today with my business partner to visit the Aston Martin showroom to view a few cars (for him, not me!!!). On the way back, we drove past the Bentley showroom, and parked in the forecourt was a bright shiny orange G4 discovery 3 (on a 55 plate).  

So out of interest we decided to have a look to see if it was a replica or a genuine vehicle. We walked past all the Bentleys (careful not to scratch the £222k ones!), till we came to the discovery. Roof rack (inc rear G4 plate), winch, snorkel, bash plate, G4 stickers,  left-hand drive, V8 HSE, looked like the real thing? Decide to take a quick snap with the camera phone, when a sales guy came running out shouting not to take photos!!! He told me that I couldn’t take a photo because I could use the VIN to make a clone vehicle (you mean the same vehicle that’s parked beside a busy main road)!!!! If somebody wanted to make a clone vehicle, do you think they would pick a bright orange left hand drive discovery?

Anyway, I was still intrigued by the vehicle and decided to ask a few questions. All the guy knew, was that it was from Landrover direct and that it was a genuine vehicle ……great what gave that away do you think! I then asked how much it was (telling him that we had just come from the Aston Martin showroom), £29,000 he replied, even though the screen said £24,500? Not once did he offer to get the keys and open up for a look, if I was in the market to buy the vehicle he’s just missed a sale!
