Can i drive to the Mot garage?

<< < (2/5) > >>

Thrasher:
Ring Garage. Get it booked in. Drive to MOT station, pass MOT. Drive home.

Do not stop to get tax.

Go get tax in other car or walk/tax online.

Drive vehicle :)

That's what I did :)

The only thing I had to do slightly different was stop for fuel on the way as it only had 2 litres in it... and it's a 4.6!

You will need insurance.

Haha i hope its as simple as just "pass mot" it should be okay then! we have insurance just no mot and tax! Do i have to notify the dvla of the new engine even though it's still a 2.5 diesel?
Kind Regards
Sam

Thrasher:
You can try ... I tried 4 times to get my new engine number on  .... and each time they sent me a new V5 with nothing changed. Then I went down to the DVLA place and *EVENTUALLY* got one with engine size 4600cc ... but STILL with my 3.9 engine no......

Gave up :)

--- Quote from: "littlepow" ---You can drive a vehicle with an expired or failed MOT, to and from the test station or the garage where remedial work is to be carried out.

But all journeys have to be direct, and all work has to be have been prebooked.

You will still be required to have tax and insurance for the vehicle.

You do not need tax.. for a start you cant get it without a valid MOT???
