If I had an 07 reg vehicle I would have had it drained there and then and not even started the engine. Alot of money to possibly kill.
Prob cheaper to get the tank drained in the first place than new piston rings.

Think that Barmie Brumie runs his regularly on a petrol/ diesel/ cooking oil mix, doesn't seem to do his any harm but there again its a Landrover. No doubt he'll be along soon to comment.
rollazuki:
I tell ya, dont run a Toyota D4D engine with ANY petrol in it. Get it recovered. It WILL cause damage.

had a colleague at work did the same to an ldv van. i just filled it with diesel and let it tickover all day and it was fine. however i was hoping it would kill the damn thing so we could get a sprinter!!! not sure id do it on a modern engine that i cared about- too many sensors to get screwed up!
