On a similar theme...a couple of days ago I heard the sound of a modern aircraft flying overhead....I looked up to see a low flying Eurofighter overhead...at this point the pilot pointed the craft upwards, lit his afterburners and took off...oh boy what a fabulous noise....was I green with envy.................

Where we used to live in Norfolk seemed to be a favourite practice area for the USAF pilots doing their 'dog fights'. One guy got bored one night and produced this. Luckily my mate had his camera with him. It was a windless evening so it stayed there for ages. Quite impressive!

That is impressive
A few years back we had a Spitfire and Hurricane 'dogfighting' about 100ft above the roof tops at our house. It was amazing to here the engines that close.
Just wish I had the camera, it was like a scene out of Battle of Britain!!
Bishops Finger:
Had a Dakota fly past low a couple of weeks ago complete with D-Day recognition stripes on the wings
That said a Lanc in flight is a sight to behold
