NeilWilson:
At the Watercress line this weekend they had a "War on the line" weekend and there was a flypass of a Hurricane on Saturday.  Lovely sound.

We get a lot of them, what with it being home of the Spitfire down here. Parents last house backed onto Supermarine :)

Saw what looked like two spitfires, a hurricane, some very early jet, triplane and two biplanes (Tiger moths?) over portsdown hill a month or so back, no idea what they were doing, looked like they were all dogfighting together. Old Biplane sure are slow compared to the slightly newer planes and looked sooo flimsy, and yet elegant in a strange way.

Got a flypast of 3 CF16s for 9/11 too, remeber hearing them, looking up and realising something was very wrong to have military aircraft over the city. Somewhere I have a pic of one fully armed sat on the runway at Calgary airport.
