Bush Tucker Man:

but i cut a rectangular area out of the trim... so the wires and the actual plug had room.

i only put it there because it is simple. some people run them all the way into the back of the truck and all sorts of obscure places...
i personally put it there so i could open the door and get it on quick.

Thanks again Rob, I guess I'll stick with my original idea, I don't think SWMBO would want me to chop chunks out of the door-trim

Mine is next to the rear door on the inside, with an isolator switch there , and another switch next to the battery

They make like soooo much easier and safer

Is that lighting cover the standard item, or is it a heavier-duty version?
Or is it just the screws on the door-frame that are throwing me?

landrover598:
It's home brew, cobled together from an old door skin IIRC

Cassillis:
I have mine in exactly the place your photo shows. Works a treat
