Hi i run my 300tdi and the wifes car on cooking oil no mods,
they run very well just need to change fuel filter bit more often and when i have to go back to normal diesel they both run lumpy

So what you are saying is my 300tdi "should" be ok with pure veg oil filtered. If I distill  my own biodeisel I can use it as a full tank without an extra normal diesel filled tank?

hmm yeah. Although VERY long it is an interesting read.

The firs thalf I got lost on but it all came clear later on.

The long and short of it is running on diesel /VO mix means coking up and could lead to the sump oil / VO mix combusting and running away by itself.

Running on VO only (heating engine with diesel though) is fine as there isnt a difference in combusting temperatures as you get with mixing Diesel and VO.

Have  I worked this out right?

Just get a V8 and run it on bio-ethanol :-)
