Fitting of Bullbars banned in UK from 25th May 2007

The new law only applies to steel bullbars & Af rames not to the new ABS/plastic bars. So Bullbars and A frames haven't been banned they just hve to be made out of a different material, then they used to be.

Do they have to be entierly made from a soft material or could you just padd a steel frame?

Have to be type approved/homologated or whatever the want to call it, there is currently only 1 uk manufacturer, who I've forgotten.

and their retail price is over £400  :shock:

I remeber readeading about 8 years ago that an Australian commpany had started to make rotamoulded Roo-bars, being a rotamoulding company themselves it was very cheap.

Don't know about the homologation thingy but if anyone's got the cash for the tooling..........
