If you google bowler Ltd then go to photo's there is some really cool pics as well as full spec and a whole of sports cars that the bowler does 0-60 faster than!! :lol:

*The vehicle fee depends on the vehicle category

not been on the F.I.A. or A.S.O. list of priority drivers within the past three years, and whose fame is not directly
tied to an achievement in motor sports.

Note: Any failure to pay will automatically result indisqualification from the
Dakar rally for the next five years.

Sporting charges
Medical assistance
Transport from Europe to Africa (vehicles and people)
Food and beverages at the bivouacs in Africa
Insurance, which includes civil liability motor insurance valid along the entire route as
well as medical repatriation insurance (see regulations for conditions)
GPS rental*
Distress beacon rental*
IriTrack satellite tracking system rental*
Sentinel system rental*
Refuelling at the bivouacs and during specials (but not during road sections)*
Return boat trip* for vehicles from Dakar to France.**
Ceremony of price giving

These fees do not include
Visa charges (mandatory)
Satellite telephones (this is no longer mandatory)
Fuel Vehicle repatriation if withdrawn from the race
Travel costs (V.S.O. package, return flight from Dakar, lodging and meals in Europe
and at the Dakar finish)
Refunds
If the vehicle is withdrawn from the race before arriving
in Mauritania (i.e., in Europe or Morocco), the following refunds will be paid per
vehicle if the team does not take the return boat trip (from Dakar to France) included
in the vehicle fee:
€1,000 for cars
€2,000 for 4x4 trucks
€3,000 for 6x6 trucks.

if you need a navigator i'd love to volunteer. i'm trying to upgrade my rally Licence this year to international. hell if you need people to drive the support car. do they have a volunteers need ad's on the web site

Costs above don't cover fuel for the event, spares and support service. also you have to be preapred to leave your vehilce in the desert if it all goes very wrong.

The there's the vehicle, a season plus of racing (to get the liscence).

And theres the four or five weeks off work, too!

As Wolfie said, we have a number of friends who have competed and they're more than happy to share their expereinces with them what ask.
