HELP !!! STUCK CLUTCH ??

(1/3) > >>

burgerman:
Sorry its in the wrong section but need some quick advise ---  Got a V8 1990 manual disco,   Shamefully not been used/moved for about 5 weeks :(   But fired her up today and could not get into gear :-k   so turned her off and placed in gear and foot depressed on clutch started her up -- moved off lovely but could not get it to disengage, tried "stabbing" the throttle, and also held it back on the brakes while the clutch down still  ,  Any ideas please ?? am trying very hard to get her ready for an adventure this weekend

And yes i promise to use her more( although i have been thinking of selling  due to not enough use :sobsob:  )

iomlr:
bleed it and see if that does anything! very simple system so should be easy to sort. either master cylinder or slave

burgerman:
Shall go n try it now, although the pedal feels ok, did replace a slave cylinder a while back, but when it went i had no pedal at all, i shall don the overalls now n go and get bleeding, thanks

burgerman:
All nicely bled  :)    still no clutch working though  :(     many thanks for the tip though

electricbluebadger:
Friction plate is rusted / stuck on, try leaving it with a block of wood holding the pedal down for a few days also a squirt of WD40 inside the bell housing through the drain hole normally does the trick. Park for any length of time then wedging down the clutch is a good move...

Cheers Steve
