Too late! It already has.
The day it went professional ruined it for a lot of people (and small clubs). I still watch it occasionally but IMHO it isn't as good as it used to be. They have even changed things to allow them to do things that would incur penalties before.

I have dabled in club trials myself but think i'll stick to the landy (hurts when you fall off a bike :P )
Totaly agree football sucks and should be banned!

You all say that money has ruined football, I've got two brothers one who plays footie every sunday and one who goes karting once a month. The thing is karting cost a hell of alot more than a pair of football boots and if the schools pushed sports a bit more we would'nt be seeing all these over weight kids on the news like we are now.
