Except during the world cup, we wern't trusted with keys to our own office so one of the management had to lock up after we had gone. We got chased out of the office so they could go home and watch 'the beautiful game' even if we were on the 'phone to customers.
"tour de France is on", well they all knew I was seriously into cycling at the time so it got left at that, but the double standard annoyed me and that's why I hate football, it's the attitude that it's the only game that matters.

It was the same at our place, a TV only appeared during the World Cup.
When I asked for one for 'Le Tour', I got told unequivocally "No!"
When I complained about hypocrisy & unfairness, it was brushed aside :evil:
