Supercharged Diesels
Range Rover Blues:
Just to add my 2 penneth, 'Torbo' or 'turbo charger' is a shortening of 'turbine supercharger', for that's all it is.
the reason they work differently is that Tubos are gas-driven, so when the engine is working hard but slow the turbo will spin up, eventually, wheras a supercharger is almost entirely dependant on engine speed. They are highly suited to constant-speed units and not qite so good in sports cars. Several rally teams had varying success with super/turbo charge combinations to eliminate turbo-lag.

I'd be lying if I said the Easton M45 hadn't crossed my mind.
There's a few keep cropping up on Ebay where folk swap 'em out for something bigger (death wish, some people). The main thoughts at the moment are plumbing it in suitabley in the induction system, getting the fuelling right, and how to stop the bottom end shaking itself to death. Getting a spare engine could also be a plan to strip and try re-works on.
Still very much in the conceptual phase and dependent on a few other projects first (and cash-flow - as always!).
Cheers
