Who makes a supercharged diesel (apart from the LR TDV8) engine?

Alternatively how tricky is it to supercharge a "normal" engine instead of turboing it?

depends on the engine and how much workj you want to do.
typically you would need lower compression pistons.

I shouldnt have thought that supercharged needs lower than turbo's - but yes over NA they need lower compression.

I'd like to go down the pre-supercharged route but canna find many (any) SC diesels :(

sorry, year, low compression pistons in a N/A engine.
