Bad driving in the snow

--- Quote from: "barnhill4x4" ---I have never understood the logic in blocking a lane when there is congestion. If I was a copper I would book the lot!
Dual carriageway, 2 lanes used: 2 miles of traffic on a mile of road, 1 lane used: 2 miles of traffic on 2 miles of road. All the junctions in that extra mile are now blocked and peopl that want to leave at that junction no have to sit and wait all because some moron in a truck/van think they are clever.
What I think is clever is getting in front of them and stopping, that does the trick!

Have you ever thought that the reason might be that we are fed up with morons like you trying to force their way in front of us/not allow us to merge/force us to brake suddenly?????

I'm more than fed up with this free-for-all bashing of lorry drivers.

As for getting in front of a lorry and braking, I seriously hope you do it with my wagon next time I have a full load of steel. With a bit of luck,  the largest part of your car left undamaged will be the front bumper, and the video footage from the lorry would go straight to the Police. Humm, car totalled, nicked for dangerous driving, and your insurance premium rocketing to the sky. Yes, please, do it with my lorry.

Then the dogooder truck driver, white van man or busybody car driver pull out into that lane to stop you overtaking people.

You want to try filtering on a motorcycle...I have had people close the gaps, pull out sideways on purpose and one chap who moved to get out of the way, only to slew his vehicle sideways in my path.....Most car drivers are morons with small dick syndrome.
Had the ultimate last year though a Dutch chap in Belguim actually chased us and knocked us off on purpose for filtering.....And he was a doctor
Needless to say we are taking him to the cleaners, he injured my wife.
Even the Police said he was a crazy man.

I usually find truck drivers are very couteous whilst I am riding my bikes.....However, when driving a car, they leave a lot to be desired :?

Have you ever wondered why there are 2 lanes on a dual carriageway? Its because that road needs 2 lanes due to the amount of traffic it carries. So why do you see fit to block one of those carriageways thinking that you are doing the country proud? THere are 2 lanes for a reason then some idiot decides that he will act big and block one because he doesn't like people merging in at the front of the queue. Well now everyone is forced to merge in behind the idiot. All you are doing is making things worse, other people can see it but the minority cant. If everyone used the lanes available then the congestion would be a lot shorter and not affecting the other roads behind. Cant you see that?
Does it say in the highway code that it is ok to block a lane? What does it say about merging?
In these situations there are usually signs saying " USE BOTH LANES" but what does hardman truck driver do? Hide in his cab blocking the road.
I know not all truckers are the same but there are the minority that do this, I have heard truckers on the CB having a go at hardman trucker for doing this so not all think the same way than god.
And I didn't mean slamming the brakes on in front of the truck. Infact I was joking but I forgot to put the emoticon on.

I am not justifying bloking the lanes when there's still two lanes, I'm however justifying bloking the lane when the lane has obviously ended, and people are actually cutting into the chevroned / coned area, just to cut in front of the lorry. As for the rest, I'll have you know that the amount of infractions commited by lorries are laughable compared to those commited by the almighty car drivers, specially if you compare the mileage/hours behind the wheel of both groups.

And I don't know how things are done in Wales, but in England the signs will warn you of the merging lanes (very rarely have I seen a "use both lanes" sign when you approach a closed lane) so you can vacate the finishing lane quicker, since research actually shows that if people merge over the last mile, instead of waiting to the last yard, the congestion generated is minimized.

Locking this now, couldn't get any further from the original subject if it tried.

Those who have lost their dummies I suggest you try Mothercare and buy one of those bits of ribbon to clip them onto your clothes next time.

Did someone mention this club was supposed to be friendly?
