Bad driving in the snow
lenrover:
Why do people turn into 104 year old women at the first sight of snow
Just arrived home after driving back from oxford via walsall (west mids) left oxford at about 3 this afternoon and have spent the last 9hrs doing about 4mph FOR NO REASON
I accept that its nessacery to take a prcautious approach to driving in these conditions but I've just spent 9hrs in stop start traffic when theres clearly noting to stop for :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

i have to admit to doing less than 20mph from hathersage to sheffield tonight...in my defence though the 255/60 road tyres were sliding all over in the ice. Everyone and their grandma was overtaking me lol.

It is annoying (I drove to work in a queue of traffic at 15mph in a 50 limit on Thursday) but I suppose it's just lack of experience. They don't have this problem in Scandinavia. Here, some people crawl along at walking speed, others rumble along 3 feet from your bumper, others maintain the same speed round icy bends and spin off into ditches.
I drove in South Africa a couple of years ago during heavy rain, which people weren't used to at all. It was like driving in a dodgem car ride. People were skidding, spinning, bumping all over the place, because they had absolutely no idea of how to drive in the conditions. Even the breakdown trucks were crashing into each other.

What i hate is when on a dual carriageway all the traffic is in the slow lane, the fast lane is covered in snow but me in my 4x4 is happily trundeling along a little bit faster on the snow perfectly safely. Then the dogooder truck driver, white van man or busybody car driver pull out into that lane to stop you overtaking people.
Jealous b'stards
MudRat:
I hate it when in road works, two lanes converge into one, you get lorries pull out a mile before the convergance and hold people up, obviously bored or stupid, (not all Lorry drivers, just the ones that do this!! :D ) where research shows if both lanes are full and people merge in turn up at the end, then its quicker than joing the queue a mile away, not do gooders, pains in the a***es!!
