Does anyone know of a good engine person around the Birmingham / Warwickshire area.
£1200 in labour alone so far.

Lordy mate, what did you get for that money? I'd have wanted the V8 supplied and fitted for that price :?
If you were closer I'd say let's drag it over here and I'll fix it in me spare time for beer money. There's nob all to the EFi system (assuming it's Hot-wire). I have a sneaking suspicion you already know as much as the garage does though.
Make some excuse (like you ran out of cash) and take it home.
Range Rover Blues:
Just a thought, confirm for us exactly what is going into this car, you mention an oversize fuel pump and a regulator, is it an aftermarket EFi or something?
zulublue:
Standard 3.5 efi engine, I purchased an external fuel pump on ebay, but it runs at 5 bar, so then got a high pressure regulator from Demon Tweeks that runs from 1 - 5 bar, I understand the 3.5 uses about 2,5 bar.
The pump looks the same as this.
